TOP FIVE Summer Sizzlers
LDI's weekly list of what's hot, what's not, and what's what.
It's the dog days, people. It's hot as hell out there, which makes it hard for us to concentrate on anything but the hottest in hot new stuff. Check out the sizzlers - like a hot summer slap in your face! 1. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE The undeniable hotness here is that Emma Watson just turned 18. Forget the movie! All anyone can talk about is whether or not she'll get naked when she branches out from the Harry Potter franchise...Sizzle! more Emma Watson. 2. SARAH PALIN'S HAIRDRESSER ON TWITTER We’ve said it once and we’ll say it again. Thank heavens for Twitter! How else could Sarah Palin’s hairdresser clear the air with these silly rumors of the former Governor’s thinning hair??? Jessica Steele is beating the down the flames of summer 2009’s rumor mills with the cold, hard facts Sarah Palin's Hairdresser. 3. BACON Too many people forget about this super-food when it feels too hot inside to add a grease fire to the mix. Don't fall prey to this misguided notion, because the hot summer food of 2009 is the homemade bacon-wrapped hot dog bacon. 4. THE SOUTHERN DRAWL South Carolina’s Senator Lindsey Graham is bringin' sexy back with his crazy Southern accent! Where has this man-who-looks-like-an-old-lesbian
sexy southern drawl been all our lives? That drawl makes pro-ignorance agendas sound so much more appealing, not to mention racism and sexism. Check him out on late night C-SPAN and prepare yourself for his sizzling Southern twang. 5. BIRTHDAY HOTNESS Gisele Bundchen and Mick Jagger turn 29 and 66 this week, respectively. Time for a super-hot double birthday party? We think so. Imagine Gisele, down on one knee, serenading Mick with a Brazilian-style version of "Just My Imagination" while he struts around her, a la Christie Brinkley in "Uptown Girl.” With that sizzling image seared into your brain, march tall into the hot week of July 20th!
